Amit has a wife, a mother, and four children; three daughters and a son. One day, one of the daughters, Shreya (played by Kiearra Soni), goes missing while playing a game of hiding outside, and her body is found the next day at a graveyard. The mystery was revealed too early in the movie, the makers could have built some more tension. Background score is the essence of mystery and thrillers and the makers could have made it more intense in accordance with the theme of the movie. Zee5 is one of the top players in the digital industry, the OTT platform recently launched a number of thrilling and intriguing original series and movies including Kaafir, Bombers, Section 377 among others. Now, the platform has finally released their much-awaited movie, Barot House, a dark and spine-chilling thriller based on true events.

The very thought of three daughters being bumped off by their brother is nerve-wracking, yet I never felt the chilling vibes I should have. As a parable on violence and crime, "Barot House" seems too unambitious to be markedly effective.
